Planned Giving

Leaving a Legacy Through Bequests and Planned Giving

You can join our Legacy Circle and make a lasting impact on the lives of others by naming Inner City Law Center in your will, trust, life insurance or retirement plan.

When you join our Legacy Circle by making a planned gift, you will help:

• Ensure safe, healthy, and affordable housing
• Veterans experiencing homelessness to get off the streets
• Prevent innocent families from being evicted into homelessness
• People living with HIV/AIDS to overcome legal challenges and barriers to housing
• Advocate for sensible, cost-effective public policies to aggressively address Southern California’s housing and homelessness challenges.

WAYS TO GIVE

Charitable Bequest

The most common planned gift is a bequest through your will or living trust. You can arrange a gift of a specific amount, a percentage, or even all of the residuum of your estate. Your attorney may wish to include language similar to the following “I give, devise, and bequeath to Inner City Law Center, now or formerly in the City of Los Angeles, 1309 East Seventh Street, (insert dollar amount or percentage of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate) to be used for its general purposes.”

Retirement and IRA Plans
Naming Inner City Law Center as a partial or full recipient of your retirement plan is an easy way to ensure your legacy. Simply ask your fund administrator for the beneficiary designation form and note the portion of your retirement savings you wish to leave to ICLC.

Life Insurance
Consider adding Inner City Law Center as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy.
