Benefits Package


Paid Holidays – New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday, Presidents’ Day, Cesar Chavez Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Juneteenth, Labor Day, Native American Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. Depending on client and organizational needs, ICLC will close from Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day.


Personal Leave – Starts accruing upon date of hire. Can take paid time off after 90 days of employment.
0-4 years of employment at ICLC = 80 hours (2 weeks) paid personal leave per year.
5-8 years of employment at ICLC = 120 hours (3 weeks) paid personal leave per year.
9+ years of employment at ICLC = 160 hours (4 weeks) paid personal leave per year.


Sick Leave – Upon hiring, full-time employees are given 40 hours of paid Sick/Family leave. After 154 days of employment, staff will accrue paid Sick/Family leave at the rate of 3.7 hours per pay period. 


Health Care Coverage – ICLC offers Blue Shield HMO, Blue Shield PPO


– For staff hired before 10/01/2011, ICLC covers 100% of Blue Shield HMO healthcare premiums for staff and their dependents not covered elsewhere. 
– For staff hired after 10/01/2011, ICLC covers 75% of Blue Shield PPO healthcare premiums for staff and their dependents not covered elsewhere. 

* If staff choose to waive their medical insurance, they will receive a monthly $225 stipend.


Dental Coverage – Guardian Dental. ICLC covers 100% of dental DHMO insurance coverage for staff and their dependents. For DPPO insurance coverage, ICLC covers 75% for staff and their dependents.


Vision Coverage – Guardian VSP. ICLC covers 100% of the vision premium for employees and their dependents.


Flexible Spending – Health: Pre-tax dollars set aside for reimbursable out-of-pocket health care expenses for staff and their dependents. Staff funded. ICLC pays administrative fees. Dependent Care: Pre-tax dollars set aside for reimbursable expenses for dependent child(ren) and/or elder care expenses. Staff funded. ICLC pays administrative fees.


Basic + Supplemental Life Insurance – Guardian life insurance. Employer-paid Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance for all eligible employees. Benefit amount of $50,000. Supplemental Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance for employees, their spouse, and child(ren). Staff funded. ICLC pays administrative fees.


Retirement/401K – Fidelity. Eligible staff members are able to participate in ICLC’s Traditional 401k or Roth plans after completing one full month of employment. After one year of employment, ICLC makes a contribution of 5% of the staff member’s annual salary.


Employee Assistance Program – ICLC offers an EAP to help staff improve physical and emotional wellbeing and support a healthy work-life balance.


Parking + Transit Benefits – We offer a tax-free Parking & Transit Plan administered by Payroll Systems, a third party administrator. The separate Public Transit benefit is available to employees who utilize public transportation for ICLC business or commuting.


1 Hour Paid Lunch Break – Daily lunch break of 1-hour covered for all eligible full-time staff members.


Professional Development – ICLC provides $2,000 annually in professional development funds for each of our full-time employees. This allows staff to hone their current areas of expertise or develop new skill sets.


Make Up Time for Hourly Staff Members: Employees can request an alternate work schedule to make up 40 hours in one week.

Compensatory Time: Eligible exempt employees can accrue up to 40 hours of comp time.

Alternate Work Schedule: For eligible non-exempt employees, ICLC offers a traditional 9/80 schedule — work eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day for a total of 80 hours every two weeks.

Paydays: ICLC has a bi-weekly payroll schedule. Payday is every other Friday.

Memberships: For attorneys, ICLC covers one required bar membership fee, plus one additional bar membership fee. In lieu of a secondary bar membership fee, ICLC can cover one professional membership. 

For all other staff, ICLC covers one professional membership of choice (pending manager approval).

Remote Work Stipend: Full-time employees automatically receive a $100 work-from-home stipend each month.

Office Supplies Allowance: Full-time employees, upon first day of hire, are able to receive a one-time work from home supply purchase through our Administration Team not to exceed $400.

Cell Phone Allowance: Full-time employees automatically receive a $30 cell phone stipend each month.
